Each One Braid One

Indonesian artist Yessiow painted a mural on the elementary school "Tanasko Rajić" in Čačak.
This mural is dedicated to the precious memories the artist shared with her mother during her school days. Every morning, her mother would braid her hair, talk to her about the day ahead, and offer advice on how to face life’s challenges. Both her parents are knitting artists, and she grew up in a knitting factory, where her mother managed to work while taking care of her. Now that the artist travels often and sees her mother less frequently, these moments mean even more to her. The mural preserves this cherished memory and celebrates the special bond between a mother and her child.
